When checking out your kits and supplies, you may want to take a look at your packs, when was the last time you packed one and then carried it about?
There has been some movement towards a larger kit, longer than 72 hours, more like 120 to 168 hours (5 to 7 days) some folks think this is excessive, but given reaction times if you are depending on some sort of assistance ( perhaps getting water or power back on), this may not be such a bad idea.
So having a kit like this and expanding to a 5 to 7 day model makes things take on a new deminsion for storage and transportability.
